Our undergraduate program is going extremely strong in terms of numbers as well as student achievement and success. Laboratories are being upgraded and extensive use of technology has permeated all aspects of student life in the department and on campus. The department continues to hire extremely talented faculty to provide students with the best possible academic experience. Our graduate programs are seeing healthy growth with students enrolled in masters and doctoral programs. Our graduate programs place emphasis on innovation producing leaders who will help keep the nation competitive in the global engineering market. The faculty members are also involved in conducting cutting edge research which benefits the students, the region and the nation.

The department is also faced with challenges. The increasing student numbers, space crunch and increasing costs and relatively flat state support places enormous constraints. The support from the alumni is helping the department tremendously. We thank you for your support and hope that the support will continue.
