Marcus J. Hall, P.E. is a 1981 graduate of St. Clair High School, St. Clair, MN. He received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 1985 from North Dakota State University and an M.S. degree in Structural Engineering in 1988 from Iowa State University.

Marcus has been employed in both the private and government sectors for the last 13 years. Employers include the Iowa Department of Transportation, Ames, IA; LHB Engineers and Architects, Duluth, MN; and St. Louis County, Duluth, MN. He is currently the Assistant County Engineer for St. Louis County, MN. In this position he has overall responsibility for the administration and management of the Engineering and Construction Division within the St. Louis County Public Works Department. With a staff of 90 full-time engineers, surveyors, and technicians this division programs, designs, and performs construction administration on 18-20 million dollars worth of highway and bridge construction projects per year.

Marcus has served as President of the Duluth Section of ASCE and has been involved in many activities within ASCE both on a local and national level. He is currently serving as an ASCE/ABET Program Accreditation Evaluator, a member of the Technical Council on Cold Regions Engineering – State of the Practice Committee, and as a member of the ASCE Duluth Section Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Duluth Engineers Club, Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers, and the Minnesota County Engineers Association.

Marcus currently lives in Duluth, Minnesota with his wife Daphne.
